A LATE 1968 CORVETTE COUPE (YOU CAN TELL BY THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLES, PLUS THE DATE CODES ALL CHECKED OUT WITH A APRIL BUILD OF 1968) WITH A 327/350 (HT) HORSE POWER, NUMBERS MATCHING CAR. THE OPTIONS ARE A M21 (MUNCIE) CLOSE RATIO 4 SPEED TRANSMISSION AND A 3:70 RATIO POSITRACTION REAR END. IT HAS JUST OVER 32,000 MILES AND WAS INSPECTED CLOSE TO VALIDATE THE MILEAGE. NO EXCESSIVE WEAR WAS FOUND ie: CLUTCH LINKAGE, SUSPENSION, ENGINE, ETC. I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM A LOCAL PERSON HERE IN SO. OREGON WHO LOST HIS JOB. THIS IS MY 15th EARLY CORVETTE. IT IS ONE OF THE TIGHTEST, NICE DRIVING VETTES I HAVE HAD. I HAVE PUT A LOT OF MONEY INTO IT JUST REPLACING SOME AGED ITEMS. THE ORIGINAL COLOR IS CORVETTE BRONZE AND WAS JUST PAINTED THAT COLOR AGAIN, IT HAS THE TOBACCO INTERIOR COLOR. THIS CAR HAS HAD SOME PERSONAL UPGRADES AND IS NOT PERFECT, BUT CLOSE. IT HAS SOME CHROME UNDER THE HOOD AS IN BRACKETS, ETC. THE VALVE COVERS ON THE 350HP CAME CHROME. DOOR PANELS ARE NEW AS WELL THE CONSOLE, FRONT CARPET. THE SEATS ARE 1970 HIGH BACKS WHICH WAS SOUGHT AFTER WHEN THEY FIRST CAME OUT. EVERYTHING EXCEPT THE POWER ANTENNA WORKS INCLUDING THE CLOCK. THE RADIO WAS UPGRADED TO A CORVETTE/KENWOOD AM/FM WITH A 10 CD CHANGER AND SPEAKERS AND WORKS REALLY WELL. IT EVEN HAS THE OWNERS MANUAL. ALL NEW CALIPERS AND BRAKES WERE DONE. THERE HAS ONLY BEEN ONE BALL JOINT REPLACED AND ALL THE LINKAGE are TIGHT. THE FRONT EMBLEM ON THE NOSE WAS BROKE DURING REMOVAL FOR PAINTING AND IS ORDERED. IT EVEN HAS THE ORIGINAL JACK. HERE IS WHAT IS MISSING: THE AIR SYSTEM (SMOG PUMP), DISTRIBUTOR SHIELDING (THE DISTRIBUTOR WAS UPGRADED TO A DUAL POINT ACCEL WHICH IS A LITTLE TALLER. IT HAS 8" RALLY WHEELS INSTEAD OF THE OE 7". THE REAR BUMPERS ARE NEW (NOT OE) BUT I HAVE THE ORIGINAL BUMPERS. THE CAR WAS GRADED AND JUDGED AND 2 DIFFERENT SHOWINGS AT HOT AUGUST NIGHTS THIS YEAR AND RECEIVED A 1.5 AND A 1.7 (1 BEING THE BEST). IT IS CLASSED AS A WELL KEPT SURVIVOR CAR (CAR SHOW LANGUAGE) I RATE IT A 2 WHICH MOST REAL NICE CARS ARE. 1'S ARE FAR AND FEW BETWEEN. RECEIPTS (PROFESSIONAL) FOR ALL THE WORK THAT WAS DONE ($12,000 WORTH) WITH WARRANTIES ON SOME OF THE PARTS LIKE THE WIPER MOTOR (WHICH HAS A LIFETIME WARRANTY).
